Mission
The Digital Repository gathers and makes available cultural heritage such as archival material, old prints, books, journals and descriptions of Polonica monuments (and everything else associated with cultural heritage) from the territories of the former Commonwealth which are now outside the borders of present-day Poland. The repository is a result of the collaboration between the Central Archives of Historical Records, the Riksarkivet (National Archives of Sweden) and the Krigsarkivet (Military Archives of Sweden, Stockholm), and primarily the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), commercial entities, publishers and the founders themselves.
